Getting Started
How do I create my first comic?
Click on Creator → AI Story Generator in the menu. Choose between Easy Mode (quick setup) or Advanced Mode (full control). Enter your story idea, select an AI image provider (Gemini or Seedream), and click Generate. The AI will create a complete comic story with panels and dialogue. You can then edit it in the Comic Editor before publishing.
What's the difference between Easy and Advanced mode?
Easy Mode: Just enter your story idea and let AI handle everything - it generates the complete story, panels, and images automatically.
Advanced Mode: Full creative control with options to paste your complete written story, specify negative prompts for image generation, choose art styles, and reference characters/assets from your library using @ mentions.
AI Image Generation
Which AI providers can I use?
We offer two AI image providers:
Seedream 4.0 (via fal API): High-quality, detailed images capable of mature content. Best for realistic and artistic styles.
Google Gemini 2.5 Flash Image: Fast, reliable image generation. Great for general comic creation.
What is NSFW mode?
Premium tier users can enable NSFW (mature content) in Settings → Security tab. When enabled:
• Story generation may use OpenAI for unrestricted creative content (if configured)
• Image provider is automatically forced to Seedream 4.0 for uncensored generation
• Comics are flagged as mature content in the database
Note: NSFW mode requires an active Premium subscription.
How does the Full Story Context work?
In Advanced Mode, you can paste your complete written story into the Full Story Context field. The AI will use this as the primary reference to generate panels and images, ensuring accuracy with your narrative.
What are Negative Prompts?
Negative prompts let you specify what you DON'T want in your images. For example, "no text, no watermarks, no blurry faces" will help the AI avoid those elements during image generation.
Characters & Assets
How do I use the Character Library?
Go to Creator → Character Library. Create characters with consistent designs by providing detailed descriptions. Once saved, you can reference them in your stories using @ mentions (e.g., "@John Smith") and the AI will maintain their appearance across all panels.
What's the Asset Library for?
The Asset Library (Creator → Asset Library) stores reusable backgrounds, props, and visual elements. Like characters, you can reference assets using @ mentions in your story prompts to maintain visual consistency.
Comic Editor
How do I edit my comic after AI generation?
After story generation, you'll see a preview modal showing your complete story. Click "Edit Comic" to open the Comic Editor where you can:
• Adjust panel count per page (1-4 panels) with +/- buttons
• Edit panel descriptions and regenerate individual images
• Add or modify speech bubbles
• Rearrange panels across pages
• Publish when satisfied
What's the panel format?
All comics use a 9:16 mobile-first vertical format, optimized for smartphones and tablets. You can manually adjust panel count in the editor to fit your creative vision.
Can I download my comic?
Yes! Published comics can be downloaded as PDF or CBR (Comic Book Archive) format from the reader page. Perfect for offline reading or sharing.
Credits & Subscription
How do credits work?
Credits are used for AI generation:
• Story generation: 2 credits per story
• Image generation: 2 credits (Seedream) or 4 credits (Gemini) per panel
• Credits refresh monthly based on your subscription tier
• Pro and Premium users can purchase additional credits if needed
What subscription tiers are available?
Free: 100 AI credits/month (~4 comics), basic features
Pro: 2,200 AI credits/month (~60 comics + 1,000 images), advanced features, publishing enabled
Premium: 9,000 AI credits/month (~360 comics + 4,000 images), NSFW content, all features unlocked
Can I publish without a subscription?
Publishing requires a Pro or Premium subscription. Free tier users can create and edit comics but cannot make them public. Upgrade to share your creations with the community!
Reading Comics
How does the comic reader work?
Our reader features:
• Single-panel or full-page display options
• Auto-slide mode or manual navigation
• Dynamic panel effects and transitions
• Animated speech bubbles
• Progress tracking - resume where you left off
• Keyboard controls: arrow keys for navigation
Where can I find comics to read?
Browse published comics at /browse. Use search and filters to find comics by genre, creator, or popularity. Like and comment on your favorites to support creators!

What is AI moderation?
All comments are automatically reviewed by Google Gemini for toxicity, harassment, and inappropriate content. This keeps our community safe and welcoming for all creators and readers.

Image generation failed - what should I do?
Try these steps:
• Check if you have enough credits
• Simplify your prompt or description
• Try a different AI provider
• Use negative prompts to avoid problematic content
• Contact support via the feedback button
How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?
Click the blue feedback button in the bottom-right corner of any page. Select a category (bug, feature, improvement, question) and describe your issue. Our team reviews all feedback to improve the platform.
